Blocks 14/29d, 14/30a and 14/30b Location Map
Block 14/30a is a traditional licence award. The block is located in the Outer Moray Firth adjacent to the Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, Goldeneye and Tweedsmuir fields.
The block contains one undeveloped discovery, 14/30a-2 known as Tudor Rose, which encountered an 80 ft heavy oil column within Tertiary sands. Three additional prospects, including the Buffalo prospect, have been identified within the Lower Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic intervals.
The work programme for the block includes reprocessing of 3D seismic data and a contingent well on the 14/30a-2 discovery.
EnCore has a 40 per cent. equity interest in the block and is operator with partners Endeavour Energy UK Ltd, EnQuest plc and Nautical Petroleum plc.
Blocks 14/29d and 14/30b were awarded in the 25th Licensing Round as a promote licence. EnCore has a 100 per cent. equity. The blocks contain identified prospectivity within the Upper Jurassic and Tertiary intervals. The work programme comprises a drill-or-drop well decision to the Jurassic to be made within 2 years of the award.
